THE Hatfield Tunnel will be closed tonight (Friday) to traffic travelling north on the A1(M).
Both carriageways are currently using the southbound tunnel while a two-year refurbishment programme is carried out.
But for motorists heading north, the motorway will be shut between junctions three and four while maintenance work is carried out between 11pm tonight and 5am tomorrow morning.
The diversion will be via the A1001 and will be clearly signed.
