PART of the A1(M) motorway will be shut tonight (Monday) to allow repair work to be carried out.
The northbound carriageway between junction 6, for Welwyn, and junction 7, for Stevenage, will close at 8pm for repairs to worn-out sections of the road.
Traffic will be diverted via the A1000, B197 Great North Road and the A602.
The A1(M) will re-open at 6am tomorrow morning.
