A crash on the A1(M) this morning in the Hatfield tunnel caused long delays.
A police spokeswoman said officers were called to the three-car collision on the southbound carriageway at 7.24am, following which one of the cars had to be recovered.
She added that the vehicles involved were a grey Seat Leon, blue Ford Mondeo and beige Skoda Fabia, and said it has been logged as a “minor injury collision”.
Congestion subsequently built around the A414 Hertford Road and Mount Pleasant Lane, as well as westbound approaching Junction 4 of the A1(M).
Delays in the area have now cleared.
