A CRASH on the A1(M) this afternoon (Thursday) has caused rush-hour misery for commuters.
A black Peugeot 307 and grey Volkswagen Touran were in collision just after 4.30pm on the northbound carriageway between junction 6, for Welwyn, and junction 7, for Stevenage.
The cars are now on the hard shoulder, but the crash has caused traffic to back up back towards Hatfield.
A police spokeswoman said no one was injured in the crash.
