A SECURITY alert forced the closure of Potters Bar railway station this morning (Wednesday).
Herts Police were called at about 6.40am to reports of a suspicious package at the Darkes Lane transport hub.
British Transport Police were also notified to a “suspicious looking item”, although a spokeswoman said it was an automatic door alarm.
No trains stopped at the station until 7.20am.
The service is now running as normal.
