A crash involving four cars on the northbound A1(M) between Welwyn and Stevenage caused major traffic problems this morning.
The crash happened at around 8.20am on the northbound carriageway between Junction 6 for Welwyn and Junction 7 for Stevenage.
It left three of the vehicles in the motorway’s fast lane and one on the hard shoulder.
Police attended the scene along with the ambulance service, who treated four people for minor injuries.
Highways England say traffic conditions should be returning to normal although there may be residual delays.
