Two lanes of the M25 were closed at about 4.40pm today following a collision between Junctions 25, which connects with A10 at Waltham Cross, and 24 for Potters Bar.
Highways England has reported that vehicles have now been moved to the hard shoulder and traffic has been released.
All lanes are now open.
The ambulance service was also called to the scene of the crash on the anti-clockwise carriageway.
