TRAIN services out of London King’s Cross are still subject to severe delays this evening (Tuesday), having been temporarily suspended earlier after storms battered the area.
A spokesman for rail operator First Capital Connect said lightning strikes had damaged equipment on the Great Northern route that runs through Welwyn Hatfield.
There are currently signalling problems in the Welwyn Garden City and Hertford North areas – causing delays of up to 90 minutes on services in and out of both London King’s Cross and Moorgate.
The spokesman said: “These delays will continue until further notice.”
