A PLANE-MAD youngster, who has dedicated his teenage years to flying, celebrated his 16th birthday by going on his first ever solo flight.
Craig Saunders has been learning how to fly at Panshanger Aerodrome since he was 14.
Once a month, the Monk’s Walk pupil has been having lessons up at the airfield with one aim in mind; to become a civil pilot.
Last week all of his hard work paid off as Craig made his biggest step yet to getting his full pilot’s licence, heading to the skies... alone.
