HEAVY traffic is backing up along the A1(M) this afternoon (Tuesday) following an earlier accident.
Just after 3pm, a green Land Rover Discovery collided with an articulated lorry, scattering debris between junction six for Welwyn and junction seven for Stevenage, on the northbound carriageway of the motorway.
No injuries have been reported, and the vehicles have been recovered by police.
A police spokeswoman said there was still heavy traffic on the road, which would hopefully start to clear before the evening rush hour.
