Hatfield councillors are considering buying speakers for their council chamber - after being told they are too quiet.

"It is not just one person affected, it is an issue that has been raised before."

Hatfield Town Council has been advised by members of the public that it is hard to hear some of the councillors speaking.

Clerk Carrie Lloyd said: “It is not just one person affected, it is an issue that has been raised before.”

Leader of the council Mick Clark said: “All we need is a simple system.”

It was agreed by councillors, at a meeting on Wednesday, that the matter would be “looked into” and discussed at the next meeting.
