TOTTENHAM fan Matt Pearson was remembered by the team he adored at their match last night (Tuesday).

The 14-year-old had been due to watch Spurs play Fulham on Boxing Day, but died in the early hours of the morning.

Matt was given an obituary in the club's programme for last night's Carling Cup semi-final against Burnley at White Hart Lane, which they won 4-1.

The tribute read: "We were sorry to hear of the passing of... Matthew Pearson from WGC, who died suddenly on December 26, aged 14.

"An avid fan who loved football, he was captain of Welwyn Pegasus Royals under-14s and also played for Sir Frederic Osborn School.
