A leading gospel singer and radio presenter came to an independent Hatfield church on Sunday to share worship and boost its campaign for a new home.

Muyiwa Olarewaju, who has recorded five albums with his choir Riversongz, and presents a regular programme on Premier Christian Radio, sang and prayed at the Revival Chapel International in Oxlease House, Travellers Lane.

The church is hoping to win planning permission from the borough council to combine several Hertfordshire congregations at a disused office building in Martinfield, Welwyn Garden City.

Pastor Lloyd Manyangadze told the WHT: “Muyiwa is a very popular gospel singer, and is also a radio broadcaster, TV presenter, and worship leader.

“He came to see us and wish us well in our application.”
