A CANCER-STRICKEN pensioner's beloved garden shed was burnt down by heartless thugs.
Michael Clift, 71, was horrified to find the wooden building at his allotment in Doverfield, Goffs Oak, reduced to ashes.
More than �1,000 worth of tools and equipment were also stolen in the attack, just after 7pm on Bank Holiday Monday.
A police spokeswoman said the case was being dealt with as arson and theft.
