One man was taken to hospital after a three-vehicle crash involving a tractor in Welwyn.

A green Mini Cooper, white Peugeot van and a blue tractor were in collision in Codicote Road, Welwyn.

All three emergency services were called to the scene shortly before 12.40pm yesterday, February 2.

An ambulance spokesman said: “We were called at 12.38pm to the B656 Codicote Road to a road traffic collision.

“A rapid response vehicle and ambulance crew attended.

“They treated one patient, a man in his 20s, who had neck pain.

“He was taken to Lister Hospital for further treatment.

“His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or serious.”

A WGC fire crew also attended the scene following reports of a car fire.

On arrival they did not find a fire.

Police reported that the road was blocked until about 2pm.
