MAYHEM hit the roads of Times Territory this morning after a three-vehicle collision meant that two lanes of a motorway had to be shut off.

The accident happened at roughly 6.30am, by junction four of the A1(M), southbound.

It involved a woman from Stevenage driving a Daewoo Matiz, a white Ford Transit van and a Scania lorry.

The woman involved in the crash was taken to the QE2 Hospital, in WGC, with minor injuries.

The two lanes were re-opened at 7.40am - although rush-hour traffic is still clogging the motorway back towards Stevenage.
