Members of the public will have three chances to grill prospective MPs at hustings events this week.

This evening (Wednesday) students at the University of Hertfordshire have also invited the borough’s wannabe Parliamentarians to speak.

Following the Student Union-organised event, the borough’s Churches Together group will be holding another event, between 8pm and 10pm, the same night.

Tomorrow (Thursday) Amnesty International will host candidates from the Conservatives, Greens, Labour, Liberal Democrats and UKIP, and discussion will focus on human rights issues.

The university event will be attended by the Green, Labour, Liberal Democrat, TUSC and UKIP candidates. Student organiser Oliver Price said Conservative Grant Shapps and independent Michael Green have been invited.

The Amnesty event will start at 7.30pm at the Friends Meeting House, in Handside Lane, WGC.

The university event will be at 5.30pm in the Hutton Hub in the College Lane campus.

The Churches Together hustings will be at Herts International Church in Mundells, WGC. To submit questions for this, email
