CROWDS flocked to enjoy the sunshine at the Lemsford Fete yesterday (Monday).

The annual event, at St John’s School and Church, hosted a number of activities to entertain the thousands of people that turned up.

This included live bands, a beer tent, a teddy zip wire, a story time and the centrepiece, Maypole dancing.

Revd Edward Cardale, of St John’s Church, said: “It was great, it was a stunning day.

“We had a big crowd and people really enjoyed the sunshine.”
