An artist’s impression has been produced for a proposed Welwyn Garden City care home.

Ideal Care Homes wants to build a 60-bed care home on the old QEll site and has submitted a reserved matters application to Welwyn Hatfield Council.

LNT Construction Ltd has produced a Design and Access statement as part of the application for a three-storey residential care home for the elderly with associated parking and landscaping.

The home would generate some 42 jobs of which 86% would be full-time positions and 14% part-time, according to Ideal Care Homes’ calculations.
