Theft of brownie and chicken satay in Welwyn Garden City

Police were called to the parade of shops in Woodhall, Welwyn Garden City, this morning after a boy stole a chocolate brownie and a chicken satay.

A report of shoplifting at the Co-op in Cole Green Lane was made to police at 8.49am this morning (October 24)

A police spokesman said: “It was reported that a teenage boy had entered the store and taken a chocolate brownie and a chicken satay snack from the shelf before leaving without making any attempt to pay.

“Officers attended the scene and carried out a search of the area, but no offenders were located and enquiries are continuing.”
