SCENIC Welwyn Garden City is being showcased on 1,500 cinema scenes across the pond.
Boozy sci-fi flick The World’s End is now showing in America with the town featuring heavily in the film.
Edgar Wright directed the movie which he co-wrote with Hertfordshire’s Simon Pegg.
Pegg stars in the film alongside Nick Frost, Paddy Considine, Martin Freeman, Eddie Marsan and Rosamund Pike.
Wright took to micro-blogging site Twitter to exclaim his joy.
He wrote: “I am very proud that scenes shot in Welwyn Garden City, Letchworth and Dorking are currently gracing 1,500 screens in North America.”
The film is still showing in the UK and can still be seen in a few of the county’s cinemas.
