DOES your business have a project that you've been meaning to do, but don't have the time or resources to undertake it?

If so, enterprise agency Wenta, which has offices in Hatfield and Potters Bar, could have the solution.

Its Shell Step programme matches undergraduates in their second or penultimate year of university with employers to benefit from work experience.

Students with the right knowledge and skills are put forward for an interview and the successful applicant is taken on by the company for eight weeks.

In the past, projects such as the creation of a company database, building a new company website and launching a new product have been completed.

Firms have reported that the programme saved them £37,500 per year and only cost companies around £200 per week each.

It is also free from National Insurance, tax contributions and there are no payroll issues.

The scheme is open to all public sector and charitable organisations as well as commercial operations, with less than 250 employees.
