TESCO has revealed its designs for a new swimming pool as part of its vision for WGC's Shredded Wheat site.

Supermarket bosses said the pool could be housed in the 1930s production hall.

It would be converted to contain a main 25-metre pool with a separate teaching area, as well as a sports hall, dance and fitness studios, a crèche and a café.

The idea is part of the supermarket giant's £300m scheme to transform the Broadwater Road site - and will go on show to the public next month.

A full planning application is expected to be submitted to Welwyn Hatfield Council by the summer.
