Police have released images of suspected stolen goods recovered in Hatfield in the hope of returning them to the rightful owners.

The items, including distinctive jewellery, several musical instruments and an air rifle, were recovered from a black Ford Focus that was stopped in St Albans Road East on Wednesday, September 7.

A 67-year-old woman from St Albans, who was arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods, has been bailed until Friday, October 21.

Detective Constable Rhys Tom said: “We believe that these items may have come from areas in Hertfordshire and/or Bedfordshire and I am appealing for the rightful owners to come forward.”

Anyone who has any information which could assist the investigation is asked to contact Det Con Tom via the Hertfordshire Constabulary non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference B2/16/3644.

Alternatively, you can contact the independent crime-fighting charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or through their anonymous online form at www.crimestoppers-uk.org.

No personal details are taken, information cannot be traced or recorded and you will never need to go to court.

Photos of the items are also available to view on www.hertsreunited.co.uk, which is a website featuring details of property lost, found or recovered within Hertfordshire, to help find the rightful owners.

They are also available to view via the Herts Police Facebook page.
