A Welwyn Garden City-based charity's supporters par-ticipated in an annual golf fundraiser that raised more than £11k.

Isabel Hospice, which provides support for adults with life limiting illnesses, held the event at Brocket Hall Golf and Country Club earlier this week.

Thirteen teams pitched up, with Brocket Golfing Warriors scooping a set of crystal champagne glasses.

There was also an auction, which included a luxurious week at La Manga, Spain, and England rugby tickets.

Hospice fundraising manager, Elizabeth Laing, said: “I am delighted with the support that we have received with our Brocket Hall Charity Golf Day.

“The day was a great success and even the weather turned out to be good.

“We received very generous bids for our auction lots, and the staff at Brocket Hall were very accommodating. Thank you to our teams, our sponsors, our volunteers and everyone else that supported us on the day.”

The day, which raised a total of £11,346, was supported by Godshaw Jewellers in Welwyn Garden City, Conlon Construction, S J S Plumbing & Heating

AMP Air Conditioning, Fujitsu Air Conditioning, CCTV Monitoring Ltd and AEGIS Construction (Design & Management) Services.
