A summer festival in Welwyn Garden City will keep children entertained this Saturday.

The festival will be held on the grounds of Homerswood Primary School in Kirklands, Welwyn Garden City, from 1pm to 4pm, on Saturday, July 8.

It has been organised by staff and parents at three pre-schools - Attimore Barn, The Commons and Knightsfield Pre-schoolers to raise money for new outdoor resources.

Entry to the festival is free.

There will be a DJ, bouncy castle, glitter tattoos, face painting, a tombola, lucky dip, giant Jenga, raffle, shoot the goal, cake stall and a shoot the goal stall.

Herts Police and Herts Fire and Rescue will also be there.

Lisa Lester, who is group manager of the pre-schools, said: “It’s the first festival we have done and I’m blown away by the support we have had from families.

“They have really taken a keen interest.

“Fingers crossed the weather is nice - I’m checking it daily!”
