A STORY about a new telephone hotline without a hotline nearly made its way into last week's edition of the WHT.

One of our reporters had just completed a small piece on a new hospital trust hotline for the mentally ill when he realised it was crucially missing essential info.

A telephone number!

On contacting a press officer at the Herts Partnership NHS Foundation Trust our hack was given a frank response.

"We do not want to release the number," said the spokesman.

According to our esteemed friend at the trust the people that need to know the number "already know the number".

He was, therefore, reluctant for the WHT to publicise the number.

No surprises then we were reluctant to run the story!
