THE Isabel Hospice Star Sponsored Swim event is taking place next weekend.
But before swimmers donned their outfits and prepared for gruelling lengths of the Haileybury College Pool on Sunday, February 21, a Welwyn resident was out raising much needed funds for the charity.
Michele Hart put on a star outfit outside the charity’s store in Stonehills, WGC and raised over �100.
The Prospect Place woman, who has taken part in the swim for the last six years in memory of her husband Paul, said: “Paul loved the crazy side of me and the children helped put my crazy star outfit together.
“My friend from Jacqueline Hair Salon did my brilliant wacky hair and is always supporting me. Also, Messages supplied my fabulous balloon.” To take part call Maria Alexander on 01707 382500 or visit www.isabelhospice.org.uk
