ROCKETS speedway rider Linus Sundstrom finished a strong ninth in the Swedish Senior Championship over the weekend.
The Silver Ski Rocket showed another sign of what is to come by finishing in the top 10 in a strong domestic field littered with Grand Prix stars and Elite League riders.
The Blond Bombshell scored seven points from his five heats in Malilla on Saturday night, winning a race in the process.
His only last place came when he led, but was passed by, meeting winner Andreas Jonsson, runner-up Freddie Lindgren and bronze winner Magbus Zetterstrom.
A satisfied Sundstrom said afterwards: “I was making quick starts all night, and I felt really good on the bike.
“I’m happy with the outcome in a field of this calibre, because it shows the progress I’ve been making.
“I can’t wait for next year.”
