Police are appealing for information after a spate of motorcycle thefts in Welwyn Garden City.

Four bikes have been stolen since Sunday evening, and another was taken between Friday and Monday.

The thefts occurred in Wareside Close, Lumbards, Wellcroft Road, Harwood Hill and Gooseacre, and inspector Jeff Scott said: “I am appealing for anyone who has seen suspicious activity in these areas around the times stated to get in touch.

“I’d also like to hear from anyone who has recently been offered a motorcycle for sale in what they believe to be suspicious circumstances.”

Anyone with information about these crimes is asked to get in contact via the non-emergency number 101.
