WHERE there’s a will there’s a way of making money for the Isabel Hospice.

For solicitors across the area are supporting the WGC hospice’s Make A Will Week, which runs from March 5 to 9.

They will prepare or amend your will, and instead of charging a fee they will invite you to make a donation to Isabel Hospice.

Eileen Ismay of Crane & Staples in Fretherne Road, WGC, said: “Sadly we have dealt with a number of clients over the years who have died at the hospice, or having received care as in-patients or in their own homes.

“They and their families have told us of the excellent care provided not just to the patients but also to surviving family members at such very difficult times in their lives.

“Accordingly we are very pleased to support the vital work carried out by the hospice in our local area.”

For those of you who don’t have a will already, or whose circumstances have changed, this is the perfect opportunity to ensure your family and loved ones are provided for, while also supporting charity.

Isabel Hospice’s trusts and legacies manager Charity Warnes said: “It’s so easy to put making a will off, however, it is so important to have an up-to-date one in place.

“Many people make assumptions about who will benefit if they die without a will, but all too often those assumptions are incorrect, so the only way of ensuring your wishes are carried out is to ensure you have an up-to-date, valid will.

“We are enormously grateful to all the local solicitors who are giving their time so generously in support of Isabel Hospice.”

During last year’s Make a Will Week, more than 240 wills were prepared which made a 30,000 profit for Isabel Hospice.

Some people also left a gift to the hospice in their will, although there is no obligation to do so under this scheme.

* To make an appointment, call one of the participating solicitors listed online at www.isabelhospice.org.uk or call Charity Warnes on 01707 382544 for details.
