WATERCOLOUR, photography and jewellery combined in an exhibition.

Silver and gold jewellery-maker Karen Brown from WGC was one of the artists involved in the New Maynard Gallery show.

She was joined by photographer Robert Crosse from WGC and watercolour artist Anthony Wildig from Bushey at the Campus West venue, WGC.

Karen produces necklaces, bracelets, brooches, earrings and cufflinks while Robert's pieces represent an impression of a journey through Europe.

Anthony has captured his lifelong interest in architecture and the wide variety of landscapes in Britain through watercolour.

At the opening the artists gave short talks about their work and how they approached it.

Gallery committee chairman George Woodcraft said: "The gallery exists to help artists in the early stages of their career to develop their work.

"This was the first public exhibition for Karen Brown and the first time Robert Crosse has shown this particular series of photographs."

He added: "We are very pleased to be able to help people progress."

The show closed last week.
