A SNAKE was stolen from a leisure centre, prompting a police search.

The four and a half foot long cornsnake, which looks similar to the picture, was stolen from an event at the David Lloyd Leisure Club on Sunday, April 28, between 2pm and 4.20pm.

The stolen serpent, Kevin 2, was in his box which was closed but not locked at the centre on Mosquito Way, Hatfield.

Kevin 2’s owner says he is harmless, but will die if not properly fed.

Anyone with information should contact Crime Officer Paul Silom via the Herts Police non-emergency number 101 quoting crime reference number B2/13/1256.
