Fancy doing a bit of sightseeing while raising money for a Welwyn Garden City charity?

Isabel Hospice is encouraging people to sign up to its nine-mile Bridges of London sponsored walk, taking place on September 24.

Last year the event raised £40,000 for Isabel Hospice.

A hospice spokesman said: “The walk has already inspired over 350 people to take on the scenic London route.

“It is a really fun day out with time to stop for lunch and take lots of photos of the beautiful city.”

Bridges of London takes a route overlooking the Thames and goes past some of the greatest London landmarks including the Tower of London, the Shard, the Palace of Westminster and the London Eye.

It costs £20 per adult and £10 per child, which includes the cost of coach travel from Sir Frederic Osborn School in Welwyn Garden City.

For participants who want to meet in Battersea Park, it only costs £8 per person.

You can sign up at www.isabelhospice.org.uk or call 01707 382500.
