Police shut entrance to Potters Bar station


A shop worker near Potters Bar station saw a man lying on the floor in Caffe Nero.

A woman who works in a boutique at the station said: “I saw the lady that works in Caffe Nero. She looked really flustered and she said someone’s been stabbed.

“I saw the young man on the floor in Caffe Nero, apparently he’d stumbled in. There was blood on the floor.

“It’s a really sad incident when someone’s stabbed. It’s really horrible.

“The guy that got stabbed was absolutely fine, it wasn’t fatal. They’ve taken him to Barnet Hospital.”

Police are investigating the incident which happened at 1.38pm today on Darkes Lane, Potters Bar.
