Festive revellers are being urged to shop drink-drivers to the police this Christmas.

Drink-drivers can be reported via the Herts Police confidential reporting line on 01707 354111 or online.

Chief Insp Richard Hann said: “Whether you see someone driving erratically or are privy to information that someone is driving under the influence of drink or drugs, please call our confidential reporting line.

“By providing information you can help keep our roads safer this Christmas and help us to save lives.”

The Herts, Beds and Cambs road policing unit will be conducting breathalyser checks around the clock throughout December.

Those found over the limit face a minimum 12-month driving ban, along with a fine and/or time behind bars.
