A sheep is “not yet out of the woods” as it continues to recover following a dog attack.

Two sheep were chased and one was bitten 10 times by a dog in Panshanger Park on Friday, February 5.

Following the attack, Panshanger Park people and wildlife officer Jennifer Gilbert said yesterday: “We’re pleased that the two sheep have survived and appear to be recovering well back at the farm.

“One is not quite out of the woods yet but is recovering slowly from its injuries.

“The field is still currently closed off but will re-open shortly when the sheep are moved to another field.

“We will keep you updated on when this will be but we thank you for your patience, understanding and support.

“Please remember again that all dogs must be kept on leads through fields where our sheep are grazing.”
