purposes are complicated.
The production contains lighter Shakespearean themes, most notably those of love, dreams, and the stuff of both, the creative imagination itself.

Director of the Handside Lane show, Andrew Powell Eddy, said: "A Midsummer Night's Dream is regarded by many as Shakespeare's central play.
"Within the crazy comic mayhem there are subtle themes about the nature of love, loyalty and duty.

"Although set in 'Athens' the play is quintessentially English and invokes several of our most ancient folk traditions."
He added: "I am very fortunate to have a cast comprising many of the Barn's finest actors, so book early as this will be a very popular ticket."
The show commences at 8pm. It runs until Saturday, May 2.
