A DRIVER and passengers were rushed to hospital with serious injuries after a car overturned in Welwyn in the early hours of this morning (Sunday).

It happened in Mardley Hill, Oaklands, at around 2.20am.

Police, ambulance and fire crews rushed to the scene.

A police spokesman told the Welwyn Hatfield Times this morning: “A vehicle, for reasons as yet unknown, appears to have lost control and hit a raised kerb.

“All occupants have suffered serious injuries.

“They were conveyed to hospital.”

Initial police reports said there were four people in the car when the crash happened.

Anyone with information about the crash should call the police non-emergency number and ask for the road crash investigation unit.
