‘Serious’ crash closes Welham Green road

A road in Welham Green was shut in the early hours of this morning after a serious crash where two people had to be helped free from a vehicle.

The Beds, Cambs and Herts Road Policing Unit tweeted at 1.45am to say officers were dealing with a “serious” collision in Great North Road.

The road was shut while two people were extricated from a vehicle, with fire and ambulance services in attendance to assist.

BCH Road Policing tweeted at 3.40am to say the road had reopened.

The WHT has asked the ambulance service for further details about the two patients’ injuries.
