An exhibition which reveals what the future may hold for an iconic commercial site in Welwyn Garden City has opened.

Developer Spen Hill has updated its scheme for the Tesco-owned Broadwater Road site, former home of the landmark Shredded Wheat company.

The three-day exhibition started on Thursday and runs until Saturday.

It is in the town centre’s Howard Centre in an upstairs unit next to the O2 showroom.

Staff will be on hand to answer questions about the proposals.

Opening times are noon to 8pm on Friday and 10am to 3pm on Saturday.

For a full report and update on the proposals, which will be put to the borough council for planning permission in the new year, read this week’s WHT.
