A SHOPPING centre security guard was killed following a three-car crash.

Robert Steed, who worked in the Howard Centre, WGC, died after a collision near Royston.

The 22-year-old, who lived in Stevenage, was driving his Honda Civic westbound on the A505 on Wednesday, May 14 when he was involved in a collision with two other cars, a green Peugeot 406 and a black Ford Focus.

The driver of the Focus, a 36-year-old from Steeple Morden, suffered minor injuries, as did his two passengers, a 35-year-old and 10-month-old baby.

The driver of the Peugeot was also injured.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the accident, at 11.30am, or has any information, to call Pc Francis Crawford on 0845 456 4564.

A Howard centre spokesperson declined to comment.
