A FOUR-STAR hotel near WGC is celebrating, after a surprise visit from inspectors was rewarded with another AA rosette.

Chef Jonathan Green and his team at Tewin Bury Farm Hotel, off Hertford Road, were awarded the prestigous AA rosette, the hotel restaurant’s second, following a surprise inspection last week.

The hotel now joins an exclusive list of eateries across the country to hold not one, but two of the rosettes, awarded to “excellent restaurants that aim for and achieve higher standards and better consistency,” according to the AA award guide.

A spokeswoman for the four-star hotel said: “Jonathan Green and his team of chefs were extremely proud to have been awarded this very prestigious award.

“The whole team at Tewin Bury Farm played a huge part in scoring so highly towards these achievements from every little “good morning” to the dedication to detail throughout, which all goes together to build a picture of Tewin Bury Farm.”

A spokeswoman for AA hotel services said: “The AA is delighted to award Tewin Bury Farm Hotel with its second rosette. This is awarded in recognition of the restaurant’s demonstration of high standards, consistency and precision, and attention to the selection of quality ingredients, serving food that is prepared with care, understanding and skill.”
