MOTORISTS not buckling up behind the wheel have been made to pay the price following a week-long safety campaign.
More than 100 people across Hertfordshire were caught between driving without a seat belt
The campaign was run in co-ordination with European Police Traffic Network to alert people to the dangers of driving without taking proper safety precautions.
Each of the 114 people caught were fined �30.

Inspector Terry Robb, co-ordinated the campaign, which ran from February 16 to 22.
He said: "It is astounding so many people continue to risk their safety and that of others by not doing what is second nature to most of us; putting on a seat belt."

Insp Robb also warned the campaign to catch drivers was not just a one-off, and officers would keep a lookout during daily patrols.
