BUSTER the Dinosaur joined children at a South Mimms school to celebrate the first year anniversary of its walking bus.

Pupils at St Giles' Primary School, Buster and members from Herts Walking Bus Travel Plan Team enjoyed a chocolate cake to mark the occasion.

Certificates and goodies were presented to the youngsters who use the bus regularly from St Albans Road to the Blanche Lane establishment every morning.

A school spokeswoman said: "The walking bus not only keeps the children fit and healthy by walking to school each day, it also helps provide parents with an early drop-off time and reduces the traffic and congestion, making it safer for children arriving at school in the mornings.
