Schoolgirl trapped in Hatfield

A SEVEN-YEAR-OLD girl was trapped in a school fence after getting her leg caught this morning (Wednesday).

The fire brigade and ambulance crews were called to help the youngster at Green Lanes School in Hatfield shortly before 11am.

Ambulance service spokesman Gary Sanderson said: “The girl was unfortunate enough to get her leg trapped in a fence.

“Thankfully after assessments by paramedics she did not require to go to hospital.”

Firefighters from WGC’s white watch were also in attendance.

Michele Johnson headteacher said: “The girl had her knee stuck and the fire service were requested to free her. She wasn’t in any way distressed, she did not suffer any injuries and her mum was present the whole time.”
