Schoolgirl hit by car in Welwyn Garden City

A 16-YEAR-OLD girl has been knocked down in WGC.

The collision between the girl and the silver Hyundai Getz happened at a crossing on Stanborough Road, by the police headquarters, at 3.05pm.

An eyewitness said: “It looks like she was wearing a Stanborough School uniform.”

An ambulance spokesman added the youngster has received minor injuries and has since been taken to the QE2 Hospital.

The road was closed and then reopened at 4pm.
