Sallow-faced, shaven-headed thug wanted over attack on man in his 60s in Welwyn Garden City

A sallow-faced thug punched a man in his 60s in the face in Welwyn Garden City in broad daylight.

Police appealed for witnesses to come forward after the brutal attack, which took place at around noon on October 10, outside Costa Coffee at the junction of Howardsgate and Fretherne Road.

The victim was approached by a man who has shouted at and then punched him causing a cut on the bridge of his nose and swelling to his eye.

The yob then fled off in a silver or grey Audi TT, which he reversed along Fretherne Road and into Church Road.

He has then made off towards Osborn Way.

The attacker was described as “around 6ft tall, in his 20s or 30s, and of sallow complexion. He had a shaven head and an unshaven face.

“At the time of the offence he was wearing a light coloured top.”
