Sainsbury’s Potters Bar supermarket has unveiled the latest charity to get year-round fundraising support.

The new charity partnership for 2018 to 2019, chosen by a popular vote in-store, will be the Fire Fighters Charity.

Last year’s charity, Potters Bar Children with Special Needs, received £3,800 through the partnership.

The Fire Fighters Charity raises vital funds to support members of the fire and rescue services when they are in need.

Store manager Karen Staples said: “We’re really excited to be working with The Fire Fighters Charity supporting such a fantastic cause.

“Everyone at Potters Bar Store is looking forward to working together for a successful partnership.”

Local Charity scheme is now entering its 10th year, with a partnership launch weekend set to take place across Sainsbury’s stores from August 3 to 5.
