‘Wonderful’ dogs at RSPCA Southridge looking for a new home
A “wonderful” pair of dogs currently at RSPCA Southridge are looking for a new home after their owner died.
George and Ella the dogs are looking for new owners in our regular RSPCA Southridge rehoming appeal.
Ella is an eight-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier who is looking for a home with George, a six-year-old Lhasa Apso.
“Unfortunately, they were brought into Southridge as their owner sadly passed away,” said a spokeswoman for the RSPCA animal centre in Packhorse Lane.
Ella is a very sweet girl who enjoys a fuss and a cuddle.
George is a friendly boy who loves his walks and playing in the compound.
The Southridge spokeswoman added: “This delightful pair will need an adult home with no cats.
“They will need someone to be home most of the day and a secure garden for them to play in and enjoy.
“Ella and George really deserve a new home where they will be spoilt and adored.
“They both enjoy snuggling up in a warm, cosy bed.
“They are wonderful dogs who deserve to find their forever home.”
• Belle is a female ferret looking for a loving, experienced home.
The RSPCA spokeswoman said Bella’s history is largely unknown.
She added: “Domestic ferrets are social and intelligent animals, and need someone who is around to give them the care, mental and physical stimulation that they require.
“Belle will need company from another ferret as she is currently on her own.”
She will need a large spacious cage with lots of toys and enrichment to keep her occupied.
• If you are interested in rehoming any of the animals featured this week, the RSPCA centre in Ridge, Potters Bar, is open from 11am to 4.15pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Southridge is also open on Sundays from 1pm to 4.15pm.
